Guest Post - Love Your Space

Do you know Heather at Love Your Space?  If not, you should.  She's a decorator, mom and all-round lovely lady.  She also happens to be whooping it up in New York with her girlfriends...do you detect a note of envy in my voice?!  In the meantime she's got some bloggers filling in and talking about designing with numbers.  What does that mean?  Get on over there and find out for yourself.

Come back and see me tomorrow and find out what this is...

  1. I have no idea what that could be and quite frankly I'm scared it may be the underside of a school desk.

I tend to follow the rule of 3 over pairs, because symmetry has always felt rigid to me, but both of your examples look great, and not at all static, though. Thanks for sharing.

  2. Carol, your guest post at 'Love Your Space' is fantastic. You've provided wonderful examples to illustrate each point, and explained these design principles in a fashion that's easy to interpret and put into practice.
    Great job!

  6. Okay, if that isn't a tempting tease I don't know what is. It looks like an entire bag of taffy was sprinkled on some gravel and left to bake in the sun for a couple of days.

  8. Looks like chewing gum stuck on the pavement! Loved your guest post. I am always telling my husband those "rules" when we arrange furniture, hang art, etc. But he doesn't seem to get it! Hope you had fun in Seattle!
