Technology Woes

Yesterday morning I woke up before the rest of the family and crept downstairs for my 45 minutes of coffee and blog reading before the day begins.  Ground the beans, brewed the coffee and sat down to discover my beloved mac was not alive and kicking.  Tragedy has struck my home and my life!!!  He has been rushed to the macbook emergency room and we are holding vigil that things turn out just fine.  Dear macbook...I hope you know I never really meant it when I said you were stupid or slow.  I love you and I want you back, exactly as you are!
Given the recent turn of events I will not be posting the lovely tutorial I had planned.  I am using the family PC and my photos all reside on the mac.  Instead I'll give you a sampling of some of the things I'm currently obsessing about.  They are all technology based so design addicts bear with me.

So clever and so darn organized.
I see a diy project inj my future.

I don't even drink pop (soda for my American counterparts:) but this is just such an iconic symbol and it's fun.

Want, want, want, want, want!!  A solar charger that appears to not be available in North America at the moment.  I'll be stalking its arrival.

Give your computers a big hug today.  Happy Wednesday!

  1. Funny how we're all so dependant (addicted?) on technology now....I get up in the morning and the first thing I do is grab a coffee and my laptop! Hope your mac is feeling better soon. I'm a Catholic, so I could have a Mass said, if you like??!

  2. This post is one of those reminders to back up my pics to the external hard drive, so I'll always have my pics just in case. Hope your mac is recovered. Love the bread wrapper plug organizer idea! Definitely need to implement that. Thanks for sharing.

  7. Loved reading your post. That poster is awesome and the finds are amazing. My dear mac has been acting up as well, and decided to shut off on me a couple of times this past week. I fear that it might have to visit the hospital as well. I just hope it won't take long to fix, since I also have all my pictures on here. Hope you get him back soon. Have a good one!

  9. How old was your Mac? Ours has been slow....we moved it farther from the time capsule and now it slows down. My Macbook has frozen on me several times. Heaven forbid it crash altogether! I would d.i.e. Sad.

  12. Get well soon computer! In the meantime this was such a great post! Love the solar charger and I'm wondering if they have a Dr. Pepper cover. :) Those labels for the cords will prevent a lot of cussing in our household - the next time we move I'm going to set them up that way - right from the start! Thanks for the great tips Carol!
