Je t'aime

If you have noticed my absence lately it's because we are just back to school and work after a 2-week Spring Break combined with a 3-day strike by our province's teachers.  Phew, that was a long break!

We did manage a little mini vacation during that time and when I arrived home I found a package waiting for me with this beautiful print inside.  This is the work of my blog friend Beatrice from A Crafty Bee who has an etsy shop Chocolat & Cherries where she sells typography posters and subway art.  Go take a look.  I demand it!

I love the series of "beaucoup" around the edges of the print and wanted to highlight that.

The plain white mat wasn't cutting it.

A little frog tape and a little paint pen to the rescue.

Once the paint dried, I added some ribbon in a pink/red.
Et voila, je t'aime.

  1. Thanks for the intro to a new Etsy shop for me. I love discovering new Etsy shops and of course when a blog friend recommends it - even better! And what a fun way to customize your print too.

  5. You and I are so on the same wave length, lol. I JUST blogged about my little gift from Beatrice!! I haven't yet hung it (nor did I personalize it like you did - so clever!) but I did style it with some pretty pottery.

  16. The red border around the mat is the perfect touch to really accent the print :-) I have one of Beatrice's subway prints, and I just received a Dr. Seuss print that I'll be giving to a friend who's the ultimate Dr. Seuss fan :-)
